On Saturday, November 7th, 2009, a group of 8 riders (7 from the soon to open Defenders MC) on 4 bike took a ride to Queen Wilhelmina. We left from Mel's Diner and rode through Glenwood to Mena. The first stop was in Glenwood, where Ice and Fire had to say their “good byes” to the rest of the group. They rode with the group to Norman, and then turned back to Hot Springs (by way of Mt. Ida) because Ice had to return for work that afternoon. As we were leaving Glenwood, we got behind a group of .jpg)
approximately 10 motorcycles that were members of the “N.E.W.S. Motorcycle Club” and we followed
them thru the winding roads to Mena. Our riders; Kodiak and his
granddaughter, Sandman and Princess, and Bulldog and a friend, went to Mena for lunch, then up the mountain to Queen Wilhelmina Lodge in Queen Wilhelmina State Park. The return trip of the remaining 6 riders on 3 bikes traveled through Mt. Ida into Hot Springs. This ride was full of beautiful scenery and great roads. There were spectacular sights as we rode in and out of fog covered roads. It was a great ride and a day well spent!!
